We got some love from HackADay last week too. Amazing how a project from three years ago continues to get love!
Since that post I’ve purchased a Raspberry Pi and have started teaching my kids to tinker around with that and programming (scratch/python). I actually am going to be setting up a separate blog dedicated to the fun projects we make as a family, and some of the cool Raspberry Pi (and probably Arduino) projects that I work on.
The first is going to be a Raspberry Pi powered photo booth that can be used at their school’s PTA carnival coming up in May. I better get busy!
In the meantime, enjoy a few pics of my boys and the Raspberry Pi that they “built”.
Here’s the book that I’m working through with my oldest son on introducing him to coding. Python, while new to me, definitely seems like a great language for a 9 year old, or any newbie for that matter, to get their feet wet with. I highly suggest you check it out if you’ve got any interest in learning to code or teaching your child to program.
And here’s where you can get your very own Raspberry Pi. These really are amazing little computers.
Make on makers!
